Take a trip to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, Brisbane's premier tourist attraction, where you'll get to experience hands-on interaction with all kinds of fascinating Australian animals. You can cuddle with koalas, hand-feed kangaroos and encounter a wide variety of Aussie wildlife just 50 minutes from the Gold Coast.
Take some time to appreciate and learn the stories of the animals, helping you develop a newfound appreciation for the natural world and a desire to do your part in protecting it. You can even attend a talk about native wildlife and habitats, where you'll learn about the challenges facing these animals and leave feeling inspired to make small, positive changes in your daily life to help protect your own native wildlife and habitats.
Lots of informative and fun activities and a good place to spend time.
The sanctuary was well-maintained and the staff was quite friendly. I really enjoyed the activities throughout the day. The layout was quite nice and the directions are clear and actually accurate. It is a good place to spend five hours and I really enjoyed it.
This place is a fun little zoo with a heaps of Aussie animals. Would be great for the young ones and you can also pat the barn animal’s, kangaroos and emus for free.
Enjoyable small zoo with Aussie animals. Sometimes these smaller zoos are more enjoyable as you can get a lot closer to the animals. You can feed and pat the kangaroos and emus in the open field which would be the highlight of this park. Would recommend for family’s with young kids.
My family and I had so much fun feeding the kangaroos and have a hugging photo session with a koala 🫶
If you ever travel to Brisbane, you should definitely check out this small zoo! We spent a long time staying with the kangaroos and feeding them. By the entrance they have the donate box, so you can choose how much you are donating for the animals and get a bag of kangaroo food.
